Testing iPhone for worfpress…

Considering when the urge to write a post hits, I’m not always at a computer. Now I can write a quick post from wherever I may be!

Well folks, it looks like it has finally happened.  Steve Jobs, Apple CEO is allowing AT&T to hose existing iPhone customers. When the iPhone first came out, your account with AT&T did not require an eligible upgrade.  You just bought the phone, signed the contract and you were done.

At this weeks announcement, Jobs said the price would be $199/$299. Well guess what, AT&T had something to say about that!  In a memo obtained by Gizmodo, there will be eligibility requirments.  So, as usual AT&T hoses it’s customers.  What surprises me is that Jobs is allowing it.  Generally Apple runs the show.  But not this time…

Upgrade Eligibility and Qualified Upgrade Pricing.
Upgrade eligibility will be determined based on standard upgrade eligibility rules. Customers must be upgrade eligible to receive the qualified upgrade pricing. However, not all customers will be qualified upgrades. AT&T has not determined the price of the 3G device for non-qualified upgrades.
